A Lifetime of Making Music
Mark grew up in Philadelphia, and started singing in the church choir and playing piano when he was just 7 years old.
Raised on Allman Brothers, Little Feat and Frank Zappa, he co-founded the group Frankie and the Wombats playing at local dances and parties, by age 17 he was playing in clubs throughout the Tri-State area. Relocating to Southern California in 1984, Mark soon found himself back in the spotlight as an in-demand singer, keyboard player, and sideman.
Experienced Sideman & Band Leader
Mark’s keyboard skills and voice have lit up the stage all over the West Coast as a member of a variety of excellent Southern California Bands including: Blue Shades, Chill Boy, Michele Lundeen’s Blues Streak Band, Fuzzy and the Bluesmen, Planet Groove w/Hollis Gentry, Swing This, Will Sumner & Tropic Zone, The Buddha Belly Brotherhood, The Nik Simon Band, The Bayou Brothers and The Vtones.
Most recently, you can catch Mark performing his smoldering sound with Johnny Vernazza, the 145th Street Blues Band, The Shenanigans, and tribute bands Easy Wind (Classic Grateful Dead), and Eldorado Slim (celebrating the Little Feat album “Waiting for Columbus”).
